Appleford School is a specialist day and boarding school for pupils aged 7 – 18 with dyslexia and associated learning needs, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in the village of Shrewton, just off the A303. Our ethos is to build children’s confidence through continuous support and celebration of success. Rated ‘Excellent’ by ISI in all categories and ‘Good’ by OFSTED, the school has been providing the highest quality teaching for pupils with dyslexia for over 30 years.
Appleford has well-resourced and supported small classes of up to ten pupils and an ethos based on developing confidence, celebrating success and continuous support – for both pupils and staff. More importantly, we instil a belief in our children that dyslexia is no barrier to learning and we expect them to do well. GCSE attainment for our pupils regularly exceeds national mainstream averages.
